ScentedCandleShop and Yankee Candle Review*

As you may know I am a huge candle enthusiast, there's just something so cosy, relaxing and soul-warming about lighting candles in the evening (or even in the day). I was recently contacted by scentedcandleshop to see if I would like to sample their services and products and when I found out that they offer discounted Yankee Candles, I jumped at the chance to share this with you all. Yankee Candles have made numerous appearances on my blog as they're one of my favourite brands, I love the wide range of scents including seasonal fragrances. The team were very friendly and helpful throughout the process and the service I received was fantastic, my package arrived very quickly and I was really pleased with the attention to packaging. There have been a few occasions that I have ordered candles from elsewhere that have come damaged due to poor packaging but scentedcandleshop packaged the candles with care and plenty of bubble wrap!
I decided to opt for three different styles of scent that I have not tried before, in three varying sizes. The first of these was a Large Housewarmer Jar in the scent A Child's Wish, a soft, fresh, floral fragrance. Large Yankee Candle jars usually retail for £21.99, however on scentedcandleshop this particular one was only £18.99, a complete bargain! This scent is fast becoming one of my favourites as it is so delicate, perfect to fill a house with during the summer. Handy tips - a few tips I've picked up on when burning these candles is to let the large jars burn for a good three hours at a time in order to prevent 'tunneling' and to cut the wick shorter before each use so that the flame doesn't get too large.
The next two candles I chose, I thought would be perfect for the upcoming Autumn. Having smelt both of them, they are lovely for anytime of the year but will definitely give a lovely cosy atmosphere when the nights start to draw in again and the leaves begin to change. I requested the scent Sugared Apple in a medium jar which usually retail at £18.99 but are only £15.99 from scentedcandleshop. I didn't know what to expect from this scent as I sometimes find that fruit scents can be a little too sweet or artificial but I was really pleased that although this is fruity and sweet, it smells divinely like home-baking.
The final jar I ordered was in the small size, usually £8.99 but selling for £7.99 on the scentedcandleshop website. I was most dubious about the Fireside Treats scent, as I was a little apprehensive about the idea of it smelling smoky, however it genuinely smells of toasted marshmallows and who doesn't want that in their life? I certainly do. I am now going to have to order myself a further one of these as I can just imagine burning it whilst watching The Holiday or Love Actually, wrapped in blankets and drinking hot chocolate, bliss!
I'm so pleased to have found this little gem of a shop and I cannot wait to spend ridiculous amounts of my wages here in September on delicious smelling candles at discounted prices!
What's your favourite Yankee Candle scent?
