MAC Naked Lunch Eyeshadow & Viva Glam II Lipstick

03:08

Hiya beauties!

I was in my local MAC store the other week and I decided to buy a new eyeshadow and lipstick as a little treat to myself, however for some reason the one nearest to me doesn't seem to ever have stock in of the colours that I want and so I decided to just order them online. When browsing the website I came across the palettes and decided that rather than having to cart around various single pots, I should just buy one of these for £5 and depot my current singles. Besides, depotting single eyeshadows allows for more back to MAC packaging...

I really enjoy MAC lipsticks, particularly the Satin range as they're very pigmented, creamy, long lasting and smell divine. I particularly like MAC's nude lipsticks as I often find drugstore nude colours wash me out, whereas MAC tend to have nice darker nudes which suit my skin tone much better and although at £15, they're more expensive than most drugstore options they are still more affordable than other high end ones such as Chanel or YSL. Viva Glam II is a dark nude, often compared to the famous Velvet Teddy however due to it being a satin finish rather than matte, it isn't drying. I also think that it has a similar colour to MAC's Brave, however Brave is more pink toned, whereas Viva Glam II is brown toned.

I bought Naked Lunch because I use these neutral shimmer colours as an all over lid colour every day and particularly in the inner corner to brighten my eyes up which has left all of my eyeshadow palettes with empty spaces where these colours should be. Therefore, instead of using up all of these colours in my future palettes I thought buying a single would be a much better idea! Naked Lunch is a pink/champagne nude colour with a very nice sheen, as it is a Frost finish however I wouldn't say it is glittery. It is nicely pigmented and easy to blend and I will definitely purchase more Frost colours in the future, however I will buy the pan refills at £10 rather than the potted eyeshadows at £13 as it is just more cost effective.

If you want to see a post on my high-end products or MAC lipstick collection then let me know or if you have any recommendations for other colours!
