American Apparel Disco Pants Dupe?
16:44
I have been toying with the idea of buying the American Apparel Disco Pants in black for a while now, however when one pair of leggings/trousers come with a hefty £70 price tag, I'm also inclined to re-think my order.
I'm pretty sure if you're reading this post, you're aware of what exactly the American Apparel Disco Pants are and why they are so greatly in demand. But if you're not and have just so happened to stumble across this post on my little bit of internet then let me quickly fill you in.
These are the American Apparel Disco Pants, they come in various colour choices and are £70. (Picture taken from the Republic website where these are available to buy).
They're meant to be super flattering on all figures and hold you in where you need a little extra support.
They are high-waisted, which is flattering on curvier figures and have a zip and button detail at the front. As you can see these leggings have a high shine to them and I believe that's one of the reasons why they are so flattering because black is flattering anyway but with the reflection of the light, it makes the thighs appear smaller than they would in matte black.
On the back there are two medium-sized pockets, one on each bum cheek.
Now appearance comparisons to the other pair of leggings/trousers that I found.
I was browsing some websites for similar trousers to the Disco pants when I stumbled across this website:
www.glamorousuk.com
These little beauties are £29.99 and look pretty much identical to the disco pants, they're high-waisted with zipper and button detail and also have the same high-shine look as the disco pants.
As you can see, the back has the same pocket design too.
All in all this pair is identical in features to the disco pants, the only differences are the materials.
The disco pants are 90% Nylon and 10% Elastane, whereas the dupes are 90& Acryllic and 10% Elastane. I don't know what kind of difference this will make to the quality and the feel of the dupes and I can't say how they fit in comparison but looks wise, they're pretty promising!
Does anyone else have any disco pants dupes?
Lots of Love
Hayley
