The Good, The Bad and The Downright Ugly - Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipsticks

Ahoy There!

Today I thought I'd review the Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipsticks. I've only recently bought the Collection 2000 lipsticks because for £2.99 a pop you can't really pass them up!

I didn't know what to expect from these lipsticks at first I thought maybe they wouldn't be so good seeing as they are so cheap but then I thought about other Collection 2000 products and how they'd always pleasantly surprised me and decided to try them properly before judging them and I'm very glad that I did.

As you can see, the packaging is very simple but feminine. It is nicely designed and the black and fuschia compliment each other well.

As you can see I decided to buy red, berry, pink and nude shades, so that I could test the quality of the different toned lipsticks.

Shade 1, Queen Of Hearts

As you can see the red is incredibly pigmented. It is a very true deep red, very 50's-esque if you will. It would look lovely on all skin tones and because it has more darker (blue) undertones it will instantly make your teeth appear white, bonus! It is easy to apply and has a slight moisturised finish, therefore it will rub off slightly when doing things such as drinking from a glass, however after a while it does seem to dry, not to a flaky mess but just so that it doesn't come off as easily anymore, more matte appearing. Which personally, I really like in a lipstick.

Shade 3, Sugar Plum

Sugar Plum is a very gorgeous colour! It is a dark berry pink with very finely milled purple and silver sparkle, this doesn't appear as sparkle it merely shows up as a lilac undertone and makes it appear very shiny! The picture doesn't capture it's beauty enough for my liking. This is one of my favourite lipsticks, it is easily toned down or can be applied very boldly as it is highly pigmented, it is an incredibly beautiful shade! It, again has the moisturised look when applied, however it is more sparkle-shiny than the Queen of Hearts lipstick.

Shade 13, Vintage Rose

This shade is exactly how you'd imagine it to be from the name. It is a very beautiful classy baked pink colour with very slight shimmer. This lipstick isn't as pigmented as the darker colours. However I find this to be a plus, as if applied sparingly, it appears a more lighter pink and if applied more vigorously it becomes a more baked brown-pink. It is very glossy looking but has good staying power like the others after a little time and would suit a lot of skin tones due to the buildability of it.

Shade 15, Birthday Suit

This colour is incredibly pale and not one for the darker skin tones I'm afraid, in fact I don't think it's even one for more medium skin tones as I have quite a light skin tone and I couldn't get away with this lipstick on it's own. It appears a very iced pink, nude shade, on the right person this could be incredibly beautiful. On me... not so much. I am going to try mixing it with a gloss to try to make it less Vamp/ Dead looking. However, if you are very fair, it is a sheer lipstick but definitely buildable and reminds me of very pale pink milkshakes! It is glossy looking (even though it looks quite dry in the photo) and put with a nice gloss, I feel would look very nice!

Well sailors, that's all of them.
Would you buy any of these?

Hope you're having a splendid day/night
